Re: Click Repair and related software -

Dear friends, finally, I could download them in order to evaluate
them. Thanks a lot for the info.

Dear friends, I understand that they should be outstanding software,
the problem is that I cannot download it. Every time I try to do it
(two 10 MB files), it starts to download very fast, but after a couple
of MB, it becomes very slow, and finally issues a time out.

And I have a very good high speed Internet connection!!!!!

For those of us who make use of ClickRepair, an amazingly effective and
cheap declicking software, it may be of interest that Brian Davies, the
Australian mathematician who has developed the software has now released the
first of its follow up applications: DeNoise. This is to be followed soon by
DeNoiseLF (for low frequency rumble and subsonic removal). The software
makes some use of psychoacoustical analysis to try to remove noise in areas
where it's less likely to be perceived. I've only just begun the evaluation
period of the software, and I'm already pretty impressed. Those other
amateur sound restorers who frequent this group should certainly consider
giving it a try. The trial period is 21 days, and the licence costs $30
(this will also cover DeNoiseLF when it's released)
