In your opinion, will Naxos collect Bax's Symphonies in a single
"white box", as for Bruckner, Arnold etc?
I'd like to get this symphonies, I'd like to discover "Bax music
world"...
Well, I wouldn't wait - the symphonies are well worth the modest expense.
I agree with everyone that the 6th is a good place to start, but I would also
suggest the 3rd. Its supposedly his "pastoral" symphony and I find it
to be the most satisfying (and possibility the best in Lloyd-Jones'
cycle). Also, the recording by Barbirolli is quite nice too.
