Re: Thunderbird problem

I normally post and read from Thunderbird, but it seems to be having a
problem today (or I do). Here's what's going on:

I opened the program and got a message denying access. Re-trying
caused a screen asking for username, then password. This has happened
before, and after a couple of tries I'm back in just fine.
Occasionally that doesn't work, so unsubscribing and resubscribing
becomes necessary. This time I unsubscribed, but now can't
resubscribe. When I click on the OK button to subscribe, I get the
color pinwheel, but no action.

I'm on an Intel iMac w/OS X 10.4.10. Any suggestions, or do I just
wait?

TIA.

Just wait. It's most likely an issue with your news server. I have always assumed, when this happens every few months, that the server is running out of resources and probably needs to be rebooted, and then it goes away. (This usually happens within a day or so, unless it is on the weekend).
