Contrary, very contrary, to what has been expressed in this thread, I
think Dinu Lipatti was one of the greatest pianists, as well as one of
the greatest Chopinists. A complete pianist. Forget the legend and
listen to his music-making: in my opinion, it's out of this world. If
a pianist today played like that, the ooohs and aaahs would be heard
from very far away.
