Gould's royalties

I long wondered who got Glenn Gould's royalties - since he had no children, I wondered if they went to his siblings and their families.
Well, reading a bio of Gould last night (Wondrous Strange), it turns out that, jokingly, he told his lawyer to put in his will the Salvation Army and the Toronto Humane Society. This was shortly before his death, and, since he had no plans on leaving this world so soon, it never got amended. So those two groups are "quietly" (says the author) reaping millions of dollors from Gould's legacy.
Weird, innit?
