I suppose you never head of liberals accusing conservatives who oppose, say,
minimum wage legislation, of being insensitive to the needs of the poor, in
bed with big business, etc, etc.

Never for a moment allowing that opponents
might be just as motivated to help the poor as proponents, but simply
believe that the unemployment that minimum wage legislation causes
(concentrated, of course among the poor and minorities) is worse than the
"cure."
No, I don't allow that. So far as I know, it is simply a lie to say that "opponents" are "just as motivated"; more likely, they're not motivated at all. That is certainly my experience.
And that minimum wage argument has been made and disproved so many times that it seems extremely ignorant of youse guys to keep bringing it up. So I consider it for what it is: a bum argument that you don't have the brains to drop.
