Re: Decent portable CD player for $50 or less?

Any recommendations for a portable CD player for less than
$50 -- or better yet, in the $30 range. I don't need a lot of bells
and whistles (ability to play MP3 CDs, CD-RWs, radio, etc).
I just need something that sounds nice and has decent skip
protection.

I've had good success over the years with low-end Philips players. You should be able to
find the EXP 2461 on line for less than $30. I substitute Sennheiser ear buds for the
supplied headphones (more for compactness than for sound quality), but you don't have to do
that.
