Yes, it's a shame, but at least there will be a new bookstore opening. In fact, Micawber and the sneaker store next door have both closed, and they are reopening as a Labyrinth bookstore and a Princeton University store - presumably the latter sells college branded stuff to all the tourists and college kid parents. I spoke to Logan, the owner of Micawber, and basically he felt that if he didn't get out now it would be too late, he'd never be able to get any money out of it. Given that there are huge Borders and B&N stores not far away, plus the growth of online retailing, he's probably right.
