It is an interesting read and one from which some members of this group
could learn a lesson or two. One thing that appears incorrect is the
allegation that Winifred was banished from the Festspielhaus after 1976 for
a time - she was certainly there in 1976 where she saw the Centenary Ring
and wasn't too happy till she was charmed off her feet by Chereau and she
was there in 1978 when I spoke to her myself in the theatre - so if she was
banished during that time it was only one year which doesn't make a lot of
sense but who knows???? Richard
