No, it means there has to be some reason for these items to be found at
Berkshire. Note that very recent issues like the Pires Mozart and the
Gulda Complete Beethoven Sonatas (now sold out) were included. At the
very least it means Joan produced more of these sets than they could
place in US outlets. Perhaps the US distributor is at fault.
You have at last arrived at a supposition with some basis in reality. The
distributor in question is Qualiton, which for decades has had a quaint
custom of dumping stock to raise funds. They keep doing it, so I guess it
must work. (insert
emoticon signifying default irony level)
