BTW, Matacic composed a symphony called "Symphony of Confrontations"
and recorded it twice. Does anyone here like it?

Haven't heard it (although I believe I did once see it on a Denon LP), but
some of the music of Carl Nielsen seems to me to be founded on that sort of
concept.
