That's the performance I was thinking of when I mentioned his success as
a Tchaikovsky conductor. Then again, he may not fare so well in
Beethoven. Who knows. I deffinitely like his Op. 111, though.

Yup, the DG was a miss. Virgin T6 was well-played, but sounded lean to
me. Liked his Virgin Tchaik. PCs, w. Fedoseyev.

The DG LvB Syms. will be a waste of time and money. At PentaTone, he's
on a more sensible path with a Shosty Syms. cycle. Good reviews thus
far for 1 & 6, 11.

At DG, he should complete the Scriabin Syms. (if he hasn't), then take
on some Miaskovsky Syms. and all Popov Syms.
