Surely these performances will at the very least be challenging, I
think. He has proven himself to be an excellent Tchaikovsky conductor,
and less idiosyncratic as a conductor than as a pianist. I look forward
to hearing this, as well as to whatever vitriol may be directed at this
post by the usual suspects.
