ARG catches up to rmcr c. 2000

"Why can't the record companies that originally made these recordings
either release them themselves or at least let other specialty labels use
their master tapes? We are at risk of losing a wealth of great recordings
that could be made to sound really wonderful with the latest technology
because the marketing departments of the major labels want to produce
worthless crossover junk, often performed by second- and third-rate
artists.... Sometimes I feel that we music lovers should storm the vaults
of the major record companies and carry off their old masters before they
deteriorate beyond usefulness. Is anyone with me?"
