I spoke with Mr Rozhdestvensky a couple of weeks ago. He understands
Melodiya are to issue his complete set of Prokofiev symphonies
(probably with the "fillers" that the LPs had) and also the Sibelius
symphonies *and incidental music*. That's the good news - the bad news
is that he has no idea when! He just shrugged and laughed.
Rozhdestvensky/Leningrad PO's Sibelius Pelleas and Melisande and Belshazzar are
fabulous performances as heard on EMI/Melodiya LP. Making those available on CD
would be wonderful.
