Austbo isn't bad but avoid Schiff - the recording quality is abysmal.
Is the Schiff recording of Janacek works that you are referring to the
one issued on the ECM label a few years ago? If so, I'm surprised at
your comment, since the ECM recordings are usually of audiophile
quality.
Yes. The piano sounded like a honky-tonk instrument, IMO. Very clangy.
