But if I had written that Bush is an embarassment to white people everywhere (he is but of course he is an embarassment to everybody) wouldn't I sound like a white supremist or something. The point I was trying to make and apprently failed is that considering the abysmal way blacks have been treated in this country and their tragic history; I would have hoped that a black woman in a position of power would try to do better than send young men, both black and white, off to their deaths in a lost cause while happily doing exercise videos. Don't you think a black person in a position of great power in this country would feel an obligation to do something better???? It's not at all the same thing for a white person in the United States or maybe I am just being naive - I don't know
I get it, but black people in the USA feel that they always have to be better than white people to be regarded as equal - you need to be careful of perpetuating this attitude. Setting up unreasonably high expectation is setting up people for failure. Not every black public figure should have to be a figurehead for the race.
Condi is an idiot and an embarrassment, regardless of her race, just as Bush is. Leave it at that.
