Worst sniffers in chamber music?

We all know that chamber players express strong emotion largely
via the nose. But which groups are the worst offenders?

My New Year's resolution was to listen to more chamber music, but
I've been running into problems, nose-wise. Frex, I just got
that Emerson recording of Late Schubert, which I was greatly
looking forward to. My first recording of theirs, and, with more
sniffing than a Wall Street boiler room, my last.

Let's try to make a comprehensive list, and let's stick to
chamber groups. Whom to avoid? Whom to seek out?

BAD GUYS:
Tokyo
Emerson
Melos
That poor man who did five disks of Dowland

Does Kronos sniff a lot? I would imagine, seeing how pretentious
they are.

GOOD GUYS:
Kodaly
Budapest
Amadeus
Heifetz-Piatagorsky

BTW, isn't this largely a new phenomenon? I don't recall any
old-timers "expressing themselves" in this way. Moaning,
humming, grunting, maybe. Pseudo-passionate sniffing? Hardly
ever.
