Yeah but, while I can listen and enjoy the musical performance over
and over, repeatedly seeing the same stage performance, which rarely
rises to artistic levels, over and over is numbing.
DVDs of solo performers and chamber groups, with minimal 'video
production,' can be fascinating and illuminating. Most orchestral
DVDs are too over-produced and distract me from the music.
