You see, if you lurk for a while before posting, then you can understand
a great deal more about the culture of the newsgroup. And you'd find
enough people talking about recordings upon which they imprinted to
be able to figure out from the context the meaning of the idiom.

I willingly admit to the personal weakness of not being able to suffer
fools gladly. Konrad Lorenz is hardly an obscure historical figure. I
don't see why your never having heard of him and his famous experiments
and your inability to find out who he was is necessarily my problem.
