Anyone ever try these types of workouts? I read an article about the
AeroStrap and the TRX strap. For me it looks like a great way to
supplement weight training on off days and maybe occasionally take the
place of weights once every 2 months. The Serius Strap has the
highest rated strength of the three.

I guess if you don't have stuff at home or have limited space they are
ok. I like the idea of working with your own weight as resistance, but
on 'off' days I prefer cross-training with other activities. If weight
lifting is your primary activity, doing some other resistive type
training kind of defeats the purpose of 'off days', doesn't it?

I do a stretching set on off days and a shorter set on weight lifting
days. What I like about the suspension strap is it is easy to
"adjust" the weight. As for the gym, I do arms & shoulders on mon,
lower body on wed, and chest & back on Fri. I was thinking of a
little boost about 4 days from the Mon & Fri workouts. I work with a
trainer so I would pass all ideas past him.
I have to add a full cardio day in between so I'm setting up a home
workout area with dumbbells, bench, the suspension strap. I have to
get rid of a treadmill and get a real good elliptical machine. I'm
too old to pound a treadmill, even with just walking.
Try jumping rope.
I was mainly interested if anyone here actually used this specific
strap.

I can't! Never learned how. I have to starte teaching myself. That
would be a good elliptical cardio substitute.- Hide quoted text -

It is very good cardio and easier on your body. Make sure the rope in
the right length for your body. This is key to having a positive
experience. It is a humbling experience. Most people can't jump rope
well. I learned a few years ago when I was taking a Muay Thai class.
Everyone jumps rope to warm up. It is a staple in all types of combat
sports. There are alot of different ways to jump rope so it doesn't
get boring.
Doug, have you hearn of Ross Enamait? (sp)
