points out that the technology was available for the aircrafts' flight
management systems to use the GPS based WAAS system to fly to their
targets with the precision required. Note that the GPS coordinates of
the World Trade Center towers were available on a public database.

As of 2000 these GPS systems were installed on boeing aircraft, they
are also capable of being flown from ground stations. Recently
Germany ordered 7 Boeing aircraft specifically requesting this system
not be installed on their new planes, (the ground controlled remote
control)

In response to a question on the forum, Balsamo himself mentions GPS
as a possible way of guiding the aircraft into the towers.

It's a stretch. But assuming you are correct, hijackers were
trained to use the GPS system, for the sake of argument, there are
many other things to consider, such as structural failure, with
recorded speeds of between 500 and 520 knots at ground level altitude,
as were recorded with flight 175. VOM ( velocity Max Operating) for a
Boeing 767 is 360 knots. This meant that the hijackers were flying
apporx. 150 knots over VOM.

Egypt Air 990 broke apart at 65 knots over VOM according to the
flight data recorder. So how is it possible for these cavemen to
control a 767 at speeds of 150 over VOM, not to mention the massive
structural failure that would have resulted? The destructive speed
for a 757/767 as stated by Boeing at sea level is 420 knots!!!!!

Auto pilot systems are design to disengage and not even operate at
these extremes! So Richard we are now back to square one, these guys
had to have flown at speeds exceeding VOM and control the aircraft
with super human ease, all the while dealing with "Dutch roll" and
control fluter, not to mention the wings tearing off!

However, according to the link, the Chief Pilot of United Airlines
stated to the 9/11 Commission that he believed the alleged hijackers
would not have been capable of inputting the required info. He said he
had to stop and remember how when he did it himself.

I would point out that the Saudis accused (posthumously) of flying the
hijacked planes were well educated, had some flight training,

Some flight training????? Hani Hanjor was the best trained pilot
amongst this illustrious line up. They refused to rent him a Cessna,
because he couldn't control it.

and may have had access to skilled Saudi pilots who could have trained them in
the procedures.

Can you provide proof of your claims? Your is this more speculation
on your part?

Returning to the AA77 flight path, here is an apt analogy to those who
have not followed the mathematics. I cast it as a dialog.

Sam: A car can't complete a 1.5 mile closed course at a speed of 150
mph.

Bill: Why not?

Sam: Look at this diagram. (Draws a square whose sides total 1.5 miles
in length.) The car would slide off at the corners.

Bill: Neither cars nor anything else go around perfectly square
corners.

Sam: Well then, round off the corners to 150-foot radius. Why, at 150
mph, the lateral force would be more than 30 g's. Even if you banked
the turns it would break the car's suspension.

Bill: Make the track a circle with a radius of 1.5/(2 pi) miles, umm, .
239 miles radius is close enough. Then the lateral force would be 1.19
g's.

Sam: No, no! The force is over 30 g's!

Bill rents the Texas Speedway, 1.5 miles long. He hires a NASCAR
driver and car, and gives Sam a stopwatch. The drivers turns in ten
laps each at a speed over 150 mph. Then Bill gets on the radio and
asks the driver to step on it. The driver turns three laps above 190
mph.

Bill: Like I said, you just have to make the turns wide enough, then
it's no problem.

Balsamo drew a course that he liked for AA77, just as Sam did with the
rounded off square. Balsamo's course cleared the VDOT antennas, dove
in a straight line, then tried to make an impossibly sharp pullup,
plowing into the ground. "See, it can't be done!" he said.

In other words, he assumed that the pilot went into a dive and waited
until it was way too late to start pulling up. If that's the way
Balsamo flies, I don't want to ride with him.

Clinger, on the other hand, assumed that the pilot knew the Earth was
there and started pulling up promptly after clearing the antennas.
There was plenty of time, well within the aircraft's capabilities to
level out before hitting the Pentagon.

Ha Ha! Just as I had suspected it isn't a matter of the Maths, it's
a matter of interpretation, that's exactly why I didn't bother to read
this bull*** you two are pedaling! What you two Bozos have over
looked is the fact that Hani Hanjor was flying with precision control
a 757 at 530 mph! VOM for this craft as I stated is 414 MPH.
Destructive speed is 484 MPH at sea level ( troposphere) he was
controling this aircarft at 530 mph. While Egypt air 990 broke apart
in the Troposhere at 75 mph over VOM not even close to Boeing's stated
destructive speed.

First do the math on that before you two Bozos start debating the
finer points of dives and leveling out!

You can only get away with this crap on the RMCG, now I see why you
both refuse to play ball with the big boys!
