Yes, it reminds me of this idea.......
The concept of dark energy was created by cosmologists to fit Albert
Einstein's General Theory of Relativity into reality after modern
space telescopes discovered that the Universe was not behaving as it
should.
According to Einstein's work, the speed at which the Universe is
expanding following the Big Bang should be slower than it actually is
and this unexplained anomaly threatened to turn the whole theory
upside down. In order to reconcile this problem the concept of dark
energy was invented.

Amazing MT, I admit I'm a sucker for the allure of theoretical physics
and I sometimes assume they don't engage in these *dirty tricks*.
Can't we trust anyone anymore? At this point I'm skeptical of any
"research paper" unless it shows me how to solve a specific, concrete
problem.
Or how to harvest rice, or fly a plane. Tommy have you ever thought
an atom was a miniature solar system, and the relative universe of
that atom was a table or chair? Well your not alone.
The so called "Big Bang" happened from a particle one trillion times
smaller than a Atom ( according to modern physics)....... Hum.......
