Let me get this striat. Are you saying the above mentioned advances
were by those with proven American citizenship at the time of there
contributions?
I doubt whether you or doug would accept the proofs of citizenship,
but...
Claude Shannon, who invented information theory, was born in
Michigan. Marshall Stone was born in New York City. Paul Cohen
was born in New Jersey. Alonzo Church was born in Washington,
DC. Saunders Mac Lane and Stephen Kleene were born in
Connecticutt. John Nash was born in West Virginia. R L Moore
was born in Texas. Et cetera.
I noted that most major advances in mathematics are the work of
more than one person, but American mathematicians were major
contributors to each advance I listed.

It's icing on the cake. The bulk of mathematics was well established
prior to our present time.
Analogy is like this; You claim to have invented the Shearer method
of playing guitar, and thus claim a revolutionary advancement of the
guitar. While neglecting the fact you can trace it's origins from a
tortoise shell and some intestines with a skin on it. Later all of
the developments such as the lute the sound hole placement, the
notational systems, string technologies and manufacture, then came
Torres and all he contributed, along with the early masters who
developed technique, and not to mention those who invented audio
recording etc. etc. etc. And all you focus on is the Shearer method.
Yes indeed it's like that!
