I might add that the first person I heard that advice from was
Chuck Crowder, who was a super piano teacher at American Univ.
and a music critic for the Washington Evening Star newspaper. I have

Worst possible advice you could give any undergraduate student. There
is nothing wrong with attending a few master classes with you
favorite player, but only rarely will this person be capable of giving
you what you need.
