Racist to feel happy for a black person?

Today I found myself feeling warm and fuzzy whenever I walked past a
black person on the street (there aren't any where I work). I was
thinking to myself: "They must feel proud and overcome with emotion on
this historic day!". Then I realized that, for all I know, they could
all be indifferent to race and perhaps even McCain voters. My
emotions were surely benevolent and friendly, but could they have been
racist?
Incidentally I thought of a new joke: People say Obama might be the
next Jimmy Carter, but I've got news for them...Bush is the next Jimmy
Carter.
