RH finger tension problem

When I alternate IM at medium to fast tempos, A curls towards the palm (flexes at
the middle joint mostly, also at the large knuckle). At slow speeds its not a
problem, but as I speed up the involuntary tension in A gets worse and I can feel
the tension slowing my freedom of movement with IM

I am trying to encourage A to move with M, by alternating I on the 3rd string with
MA together on the 2nd and 1st strings.

Another idea I had was to alternateIM on a string whilst trying to flex and extend
A slowly (tricky!)

Any other ideas for tackling this?

TIA
