Thanks for asking Ed. We had a 1:30PM performance for children/
parents in one of the tents at Banana Island, and the festival concert
was at 5PM in the Central Moravian Church (last year we were in the
Chapel) and it was full, about 500 people. We actually had 4 standing
ovations; one after Tamara's performance of the 'Csardas' by Monti, a
partial one after my "Asturias" (OK, so what if I paid the 5 people
that stood up), then at the end of the program and after the encore
which was "Ashokan Farewell".

So, it was pretty much a failure. But, oddly enough, we were already
informally invited back for next year, and hopefully our booking
agency will nail that down.

Sorry you couldn't be there, I think it was probably our best
performance to date.

Sounds like another great success for the Abaca String Band. I think
word-of-mouth from last year's performance got around. That's a
respectable audience. There is a pent up interest in classical music
out there. I'll be sure to attend the Musikfest next year.
