Wouldn't it have been refreshing if, during that parade of youtube
idiocy on CNN, one of the candidates had interrupted one of the clown
questioners and asked:

"What IS this? Is this a joke? Is this an entertainment? Is this a
CIRCUS? Can we get SERIOUS here? What has become of us? Do you
realize what this debonair nihilism says about the soul of modern man?
Do all of you really embrace the Brave New World?"

And wouldn't this have been refreshing too:

"Yes, without any apologies whatsoever, I send my children to private
school. Why? Because they're better, I want the best for my children,
and I can afford it. Next question."

The democratic candidates handled the Youtube questions well. And
actually interacted with a few with a sense of humor. I can't imagine
any of the republicans answering any of those questions. Can't
imagine any of the republican candidates with a sense of humor.

The understated proposition of the question about public school
education says that if a politician sends his/her kids to public
school they will take an interest in public education as a whole.
