Dear JD,
You should check with Greg Silverman. I don't see him
posting very often. He has spent many years working on
those exams. There is nothing separate like that in the
U.S., as far as I know. You can take ABRSM in the U.S.,
you probably know. There are even exam locations.
But if I am not mistaken there is a separate exam
program in Canada, and they have their own books. That
may be why you don't see Canada in the No. American list
for ABRSM. So the Canadian program might be something
for you to look into.
There is also yourlocal college or junior college and
community night school. These often have lessons and
classes in music theory. Hope this will be useful for a
start. AJN.
