More accurately:
"Anyone who has not felt -- I do not say understand -- but felt the
necessity of the dodecaphonic language is USELESS. " - PB, 1952
I believe the quote is found in the book 'Orientations'.
Chris Cutler was the drummer for the avant-rock bands Henry Cow and the
Art Bears. He's worked with Iancu Dumitrescu as well, so I'm a little
surprised he wasn't more thorough.
