I know this is OT (sorry) but there's not much happening in
Beatledom. However rmb is made up of fascinating people from all
around the world.
So I was curious to find out more about what it was like in each
person's neck of the wood.
So, what's the weather/climate like in your area?
Me, I'm in the northeast U.S. near a major city. After having an
especially pleasant and mild October and November, Mother Nature is
making up for lost time now that it is December. Along the US coast
for the past day or so we've had high winds and quite a bit of cold
rain. Further inland there's been an inch or two of snow/slush. This
is the second storm so far.
Neither of these storms have been major events . . . .but they remind
me that I am so not ready for winter.
I hope someone here can tell me something encouraging about the warm,
sunny climate he or she is in. (sigh)
Near zero wind chill the last 3 days. Lots of wind on Wednesday, 50+
mph. Sunny with a high expected in the low 30's for today. At least
the sun is making customers smile. Western Michigan has had a
boatload of snow over the past week.-
Years ago an acquaintance of mine made a joke . . . was it about
Chicago? Minneapolis? I forget. But the joke was, "The coldest
winter I ever experienced was the summer I spent in ________."

Cute joke. Just anFYI that kind of goes with the joke, they have a
science station that is active 6 months a year I think in Antartica.
If you go to www.el.com there is a way to get free internet radio
from around the world, and sometimes, one of the stations available is
the radio station generated from Antartica. They generate their own
radio show there for the scientists. So since we are in the northern
hemisphere, I would answer the question "the coldest winter I ever
experienced was the summer I spent in Antartica".
