As far as I know, Paul played solo electric guitar on the following
songs:
Another Girl
Ticket To Ride
Drive My Car
Taxman
Got To Get You Into My Life
Sgt. Pepper's
Good Morning Good Morning
Back In The USSR
The End
And this fact always made me wonder why Paul was given such
spotlight moments playing solo guitar. Was George not confident
enough? Did the others think he was not that crafted?
The book Here There and Everywhere by Geoff Emerick addresses this a
bit . . . .the author claims that George could be slow in the studio
and sometimes mess up solos. H'e practice and practice and practice
and do it a certain way or try to do it a certain way, but Paul was
not happy. Paul allegedly would lose patience, and then nail it
himself, much to George's frustration and anger. IMO that is one of
the things that contributed to the break up of the Beatles.
I've been George in that situation, and I've also been Paul. I have
sympathy for both of them.
I'd be Frank with you, but my name's not Frank!
