Because, I can still hear the the improvement in sound quality,

So you DO hear a difference. I am confused now.

But, nobody is in the mood to discuss this part.

Thanks Jeff. I thought *YOU AND I* were having a communication moment
here.

We are.
I'm talking about the part where I said I can't hear the
difference between an MP3 and a CD, unless I transfer it to an
actual MP3 gadget that holds MP3's, like my Zune player.

you are listening too.

To. :-)

I'm an old man...leave my grammar alone.

Okay. I scratched my arm today with my fingernail. Wanna
to see my wooned? I feel so bad..I feel good today.
How are you?

BUT, in some instances there is a noticeable
difference. If I listen to an .MP3 recording that has a lot of cymbal
play, the top *sizzle* does not sound right...I have taken a .WAV file
and converted to .MP3 to make the comparison myself with some of my
recordings. It stands to reason Jeff...you *downgrade* or compress a
file and something has to give.

Sure..but if "I" can't hear it...ya know...there's no problem.

Again, you confuse me Jeff. Do you or do you NOT hear a differnce
between .WAV files and .MP3 files?

I know they aren't the same cause you can't transfer a .WAV
file into a MP3. But that could be so because they are
different formats. You can't change a pair of socks into
a T-shirt either. This interview isn't going very well.
My earphone jack is broken.

I understand, Dave, but I don't have the money to buy every Beatles
CD. I have no choice but to listen mostly to MP3's.

Then in this case Jeff, depending on whether you DO or DO NOT hear a
difference between .WAV or .MP3s, then it may make no difference.

I've been offered a .WAV file, or an MP3, and I chose the MP3.
I make unusual choices.

I think in the case of the Beatle remasters, it is not possible to
hear an audio improvement of any value over YouTube or any other
*compressed* format...it must be a .WAV file...not an .MP3. (Though
even a converted remastered .MP3 file WILL sound better than an
unconverted one!)

Huh? You lost me here.

If you make an .MP3 copy of a GOOD .WAV file, you will have a
GOOD .MP3 file. If you make an .MP3 copy of a BAD .WAV file, then you
will have a BAD .MP3 file.

But, how can you possibly improve an MP3 into a copy of a good
..WAV file? Okay, I'll try it with my Goodbye song..in youtube
that has horrible sound quality, and it will save me the time
of re-recording it...cause it will have CD quality. Just kidding,
Dave.

Anything else?
