I don't think that's true. I was spoken to about sound quality

I have bought about 200 remastered CDs of ones I already had. I sold
a lot of the old ones, and I always told the people that it was the
non-remastered version. They never cared. I sold every one I offered
for sale. I wonder what percentage of the people are critical enough
listeners with good enough equipment to hear the difference.

Well, again, Jud, it would depend on who you know, who your
friends are, and who you hang out with, and what their
priorities are today. In 1977, at age 21, I wanted the best
speakers I could find, so I paid 600 dollars apiece for
them. 32 years later, these huge JBL speakers are
not even sold anywhere that I know of, and even if
I had the money, I would not spend it on that. But,
I do keep buying the remastered CD's as you do, (Beatles
or related) cause that is my priority, but my 200 dollar
digital Sony stereo sounds fine to me.
