Took a notion to learn this tune. The Complete Scores list the chords
G - Am7/d For the opening.
This is the part that always caught my ear
The way I see it, you play the open lower E string and immediately hit the
G note for the chord, play the G chord in the middle strings. and then
hit the middle e and second-string c note for the am7.
This allows you to get the jumpy sound of the guitar in the opening.
I'm on acoustic, but it sounds sort of what I want. But repeating that
movement over and over again is tricky and hell on the pinky.
Does this sound right to those playing?
Just wanted to thank everyone for the input. The UK version and the comments
about it helped a great deal. Yeah, Hal Leonard book really seems to have
screwed it up. Most people reviewing this book say it makes a few mistakes.
Seems to me it makes quite a few more than a few.
Anyway, I now have some idea of how I can make it sound like the recording.
