< I do find his remark very annoying regardless of who this fool thinks
he is. >
Yet, if he'd called Yoko Ono a nobody, you'd applaud him and say that
anyone
who called him a moron and fool was "engaging in personal attacks" and
trying to "censor" him.
< I assure you that when Yoko made remarks putting the Beatles down, I
was also annoyed. :-) <
That's not what I said. Concentrate.
< As far as your last point ("anyone who called him a moron and fool was
engaging in personal attacks and trying to censor him") there is a
difference between disagreeing with someone's opinion and trying to
censor someone. >
Yet you never see the distinction when someone criticizes you.
It depends on how someone criticizes me. Is it constructive
criticism? Is it gentle and well meaning? Or is it vicious?
Are you also
saying that calling a person a moron and a fool isn't a personal attack?
OK, yes it is. But, hypothetically, if someone said that the Beatles
and Elvis were "nothing" that would be, IMO, a silly statement.
But all of this is moot because now people are claiming Brian May did
not make that statement about the Beatles.
