I am woefully underexposed to such shows, but I guess it's just
something I live with. I've seen maybe two episodes of "The Sopranos,"
about the same of "Sex and the City," never seen "Extras," never seen
"Curb Your Enthusiasm," one episode of "Entourage".... Etc. Maybe I'll
see more now that I (temporarily?) have HBO, but I'm leery of watching
too much of the serial shows, because if I rent the series DVDs and
start from the beginning, they will be "spoiled."
That's pretty much the way I watch the TV now...mainly DVDs...but of course
I get the news on the cable. I'm tired of trying to watch a movie on
broadcast TV and suddenly there are *pop-ups* at the bottom of the screen
blocking the picture...or someone running across the bottom of the screen
advertising this or that. I had TIVO for a while but the layering of ads
over the program was infuriating. Netflix is the way to go. I think it might
be cheaper too! (Shhh!...don't let them catch on.)
