Is there anyone in the world that could swallow Yoko's crap about the

John Lennon
'Zackly! Which is why in a way I feel like all the Yo bashing is stomping
his grave.
But John and Yoko are different people (with vastly different musical
abilities). You can like one and not like the other, just as you can
listen to one but find the other a terrible excuse for a musician.
Many of the people who knew both have positive memories of Lennon but
shudder at the mention of Ono.
I agree. And I agree pretty much with your assessment of Ono as a musician.
Since you're new here (I think; you may have used a different name previously),
I'll repeat what I've said here before on other occasions. John was a big boy,
old enough to make his own decisions. He didn't *have* to drag Yoko into the
studio with him; he didn't *have* to have her beside him at concerts, faking her
way through playing a keyboard and wailing in that awful voice. But he wanted
her there, apparently. So your beef in this respect should be with him, not
her. He had the power at his fingertips to change the situation if he didn't
like it.
As for stomping on Lennon's grave, I feel that belittling Lennon and
his work, talking dismissively of him, saying that his success was
"just hype," putting out John Lennon products, releasing his image on
booze ads and so forth...I feel that that is pissing on his grave.
Maybe so, I really don't know. Just about everything that I have seen that's
negative about her comes from sources that appear to me to have an axe to grind,
so I really have no idea what is truth and what is hyperbole.
But even if half of it is true, I subscribe to "Two wrongs don't make a right".
