I have a question for you Blackmonk. Regardless of who does the head
banging, do you really think that if a "performance artists" gets up
on stage and bangs their head on the floor, does this constitute
"art."?
If the artist is doing it to communicate with the audience, yes.
Do you have a better definition of art?
Does it constitute "good art" in your opinion?
Depends on how it's done, same as everything else.
And if given a choice, if we could revive John and George and if you
could attend a Beatles concert, which would you rather see: a Beatles
concert or someone banging his or her head on the stage?
Would Zombie John or Zombie George try to eat my flesh afterwards?
Or even more terrifying, would they do material from their solo albums? That
might have me banging my head against the stage.
Just curious . . . . . .- Hide quoted text -

Yoko is a fraud, sucking the life out of Lennon's legacy. Watch her
tomorrow night on the Larry King is half-alive show. Don't forget to
point your little flashlight at the screen.
I..Love..You.........she'll feel the vibes BM- Hide quoted text -

Funny.
I think some of Yoko's marketing has been good, actually. For
example, I admire the way Yoko tries to promote John as an artist. I
think he would have liked that.
But some things were pretty bad . . . like the Lennon ties, condoms,
etc.
He was a thing to her, an addition to her collection. He married her,
he fathered a baby, he took care of it, he wrote a will, he died, he
served his purpose. Kind of like the black widow spider and her mate.- Hide quoted text -

John Lennon grew up angry. Was passed off by his mother, had a father
who split, did poorly in school, drank, smoked and eventually knocked
up his girlfriend, like a million other young reblels. Oh, and he was
a Beatle, which put a red hot spollight on him. His mother was killed,
best friend died. Had an uncle, whom he loved, die and an aunt who did
her best to keep him on the straight and narrow. This and much more in
a 40 year span. In the middle of all of this, he married a woman who
was the closest thing to his own Mom... an off beat rebel. Even called
her mother.
John Lennon was stuck in the mouse wheel. Escaping at times but thrown
back in, time and again. Towards the end, he would write his aunt and
ask her to send some memories of his childhood, his school tie for
instance and I believe was finally beginning to mature....then was
shot dead. A sad story and a sad life in my opimion.
Yoko was and is his mother. He had no choice but to cling to this
strong woman. He could share his fame and wealth with her as he would
have done with his mom, had she lived. Watch her this evening, try
and look at her through John's eyes. Try to see what he saw, I will.
