Re: Beatles myths

The Walrus was Danny kirjoitti:
"It was only in 1995 that Neil was revealed to be his real dad."

And the line before say's:

Their son Roag, born in July 1962, was given the Best surname to avoid a scandal.

A scandal for whom? Surely Mona Best didn't want to come out with the fact that that she had had sex and a baby with a teenager who was 20 years younger than she was. What other surname she could have given Roag without marrying Neil?

John was not afraid of a scandal when he had his Spanish honeymoon with a gay manager. John was not afraid of a scandal when he beat the hell out of Bob Wooler. It was only small news at the time (BTW, the first time that the Beatles were mentioned in national press). The Beatles were not afraid of a scandal when they took a known gay as their manager. Brian Epstein was not a afraid of a scandal when he rummaged public lavatories of Liverpool for John lookalikes. Why would they have been bothered with Mona Best's child? They kept Neil. Neil being Roag's father could still have been exposed anytime after that. Why they kept Neil if they were a afraid of a scandal? Yet, no reporter wrote about it before 1995 although there were many people in Liverpool who knew it from the beginning. No-one made a scandal of Brian's gayness either and it was even illegal to be gay then unlike having a baby.
