Here are some common Beatles myths that keep popping up on RMB:

1.) Paul is dead and John buried him.

Nobody has been discussing this. It was part of a rumor that got
started in 1969..but there have been no posts about John himself
burying Paul.

2.) Ringo can't do a drum roll.

3.) Paul re-recorded Ringo's drum tracks.

Paul did re-record some of Ringo's drum tracks. Paul played on "Back
in the USSR, "Dear Prudence" and Birthday"

4.) John was the leader of the group.

John was the leader of the group..originally, and then Paul just sort
of took over the role as leader about the time "SGT. Pepper" came out
in
1967..but it was John's band to start with.

5.) John was bi-sexual.

Maybe he was..maybe he wasn't. Who knows? It had nothing to do with
John's talent..is my point.

6.) Session drummers played on some Beatles songs.

Andy White played on a version of "Love me do." The first version.
There is no proof that any other drummers played on Beatles sessions.

7.) George slept around with Marianne Faithfull

Who knows? John and the other Beatles slept with a lot of women.

8.) Linda Eastman broke up the group.

Nope. The blame on this newsgroup goes to Yoko.

9.) Paul didn't really give a *** when Ringo almost died in 1979.

This is something else that has never been discussed in this group.

10.) Ringo's the luckiest man in the 20th century.

Any drummer would have been lucky to have been part of the
Beatles..and since Ringo got the job..people say that about him.
