I wasn't one of those posters, and maybe they won't appreciate me putting
words in their mouths, but I have three responses to this:

1. Those posts were indeed tasteless. However, it seemed to me that the
tastelessness in this instance was not a simple manifestation of
generalized dislike for Yoko, but something more specific and to the
point. Namely, the posters were commenting on what they perceived to be
a pattern of exceedingly tasteless actions by Yoko (certainly not as
tasteless as the invented ones in the posts, but real actions, not
imaginary ones, which is a pretty important distinction)... that is, they
were starting from Yoko's actual (as perceived by them) tastelessness and
just taking it a few steps further. So yes, they were tasteless, but
this is different from simply saying something vile about someone you
don't like.

2. As a fan of John Lennon, I'm aware that he was very fond of extremely
tasteless humor (at least in his early years).

3. If these are the most disgusting posts you've seen here, you must not
have been around all that long! A few years back, you would have seen a
lot of stuff here that makes these posts look positively G-rated. Believe
me.

Actually NOTHING remains of John Lennon except a memory and his
recordings... oh, and Julian and Sean. I don't think his 'remains' remain...
he's just "dust in the wind"...ashes. (Just my humble opinion.)
