....quick and dirty??? All that line-work takes many many MANY hours to
execute. Not only that... just the planning of how to position the different
elements within the borders of the piece takes a long time. I just had a
conversation with an artist who does that type of work... one drawing
(2'x3') took him 3 years to complete... very intricate. I don't know the
size of the original Revolver art-work, but I assume it was bigger than the
actual album sleeve. Klaus did a brilliant job. I think they chose the
"right" cover. I remember being knocked by the cover when I first saw it.
I think it is magnificent compared to Rubber Soul... (just a nice photo
turned on it's side).
....just my humble opinion.
