I'm not going to post the answers for a few more days, to give those
interested in taking the quiz enough time to come up with their
answers, but I'm posting, just for ha-ha's, the introduction to the
quiz from its original pamphlet form. It was an attempt at humor, but
I'm not sure I succeeded. ;-)
Here it is(and remember this is from 1983):
" So, you think that you know everything there is to know about The
Beatles. I thought so too...that is until I had to research some
answers to questions about the world's most popular Rock 'n' Roll band.
I discovered that there were many things which I didn't know, but was
pleased to find out that what I did know about The Beatles was correct.
Now, it's your chance to test your skills.
Enclosed are very tough trivia questions about The Beatles. Some of
these questions may be easy for you to answer, others may find you
digging out the answers from various books and research material, yet a
few will have you pulling out your hair in frustration because you
won't be able to answer them. Let's use the following guide as to
whether you should even attempt an endeavor as difficult as this one.
If you know that the Quarrymen was the original name of the group which
evolved into The Beatles, and that the Fab Four first came to America
on February 7, 1964, by all means, go ahead and take this quiz.
However, if you don't know that The Beatles came from Liverpool
England, and that Ringo Starr's real name is Richard Starkey...forget
it...throw this quiz away...crawl back into the cave you've obviously
lived in for the past 20 years, and go listen to "Sherry" by the Four
Seasons.
Each question is numbered, and the corresponding answer is listed on a
separate page. Now, that in itself, isn't too hard. Try answering the
questions correctly...that's where the difficulty lies. Good Luck!
