That's the trouble with these disgruntled "former"
military staff, I believe. They don't know when to cut
the hyperbole, and the newspaper coverage
makes him look like a hothead when they spice
up the story with a dumbass quote like that one.
Of course, there is much *spicier* stuff (Fashion,
Movies, Technology, Real Estate) in the
Chronicle... my sister sends me the stories
she thinks I will like... but back to the point:
I've seen other respectful coverage of this man's
"testimony" without that particular verbatim portion...
but to be honest, it flows past so quickly, and is lost
in the sea of memories of Powell showing Congress
those convertible vehicles and preaching war... did
you know that Gen. Wesley Clark is actually on
Saddam Hussein's defense team?
