Re: McCartney punched and spat at his producer

to be honest i'd prefer paul go deeper into the arty sort of somber biz
.... the mature sounding biz. i just dont think it's suited for him as
a 63 year old (and older obviously on his next album) to try and rock
out. i mean i think that's what dooms a new rolling stones album. it
just sounds silly hearing mick jagger as a 60 something year old man
singing about getting blow jobs and whatnot. with the same riffs
they've been using for 40 years. i think what makes bob dylan able to
really still sound relevent in his older age is the fact that he's very
much a singersongwriter .. to me the reason this album works is because
it is more mature... a bit more serious ... i just dont really think we
need more silly songs or more sort of pop rock songs from mccartney -
he's done his bit there. let's see what else he can do. i want him to
push himself. he's so incredibly talented when it comes to writing
stunning melodies - i want him to try and put that into new things you
know... try to combine his ideas from his classical albums and his
fireman stuff... you know - really push himself. i guess that's just
what i would like. i don't see any point of him trying to make big
rock singles and whatnot at this point. i mean dont get me wrong - i
love fine line... eh. i'm starting to lose any focus i may have had.
but lets just say i way way way prefer chaos and creation's somber arty
biz over driving rains sort of silly pop rock.
