While a punch is a minor assault in the law books, and happens all the time
especially with kiddies, and a spit is even more juvenile and less of a
battery, this whole thing sounds like a typical Paul PR statement meant
to...I don't know...reclaim some sort of machismo image, either to himself
or everyone else.

Would he REALLY be so angry as to punch someone who critiqued his music? Is
that why no one has ever told him how much lightweight crap he's foisiting
off on the world? I guess Lennon would have punched him back harder and
that's what kept THAT relationship in check.

He seems to be aware that much of what he produces is quickly tossed out
there with not enough care or thought (he more or less said so himself
recently), so if he already knows this why would someone confirming it make
him so angry? It doesn't make a lot of sense.

I suppose he could creep over to Nigel's and tear the lace curtains in his
bedroom little bitty strips at a time. That would be Paulish. But spit?
Punch?

It just does not compute.
