A flaw with todays music scene is that it's all about the
frontman/woman- whoever holds the (main)mike. And
often they can't even sing, but have a 'look' the suits
are currently searching for. The so-so quality singing
gets repaired in the studio. There is no spotlighting of
any actual musicians in the band. Often because there
is no such 'band', instead being guitars-for-hire(d) by
the record company. There are no guitar heroes.
Instead of young prospects asking Mom for a guitar
and amp for their bday or xmas, they ask for a p.a.
system and/or dj setup. I've seen it. Sad but true.
