It's the totality of the circumstances, not the age. I've been on
calls
where subjects who you would never believe have cost guys to lose a
tooth
or slip a disk in their back. Stuff happens. We have tazers to cut
down on
lethal force. There's M.O. people out there who are a serious handful
when
they go off their meds, are on PCP, or have a burning desire to hurt
us.

Would you ever suspect an 88 year-old man.....88!!....to waltz a rifle
into
the holocaust museum? And if it were a toy rifle, and an officer tazed
him,
people would say "that cop tazed an 88 year-old man".
